I sat one on at the dealer the other day... Man those babies are nice. They also rev to 15,000 rpm's.

i was reading a review on the CBR600RR and it says they are not too passenger friendly. what is the difference between the 600RR and the 600F4i?

the RR is the race bread version of that bike. it has alot of upgraded products and will spank any f4i out there.

the big improvement is the fuel management system.

the honda website should spell out all the difference.

the RR is def worth the extra money if your worried about performance.

but what i think this guy is looking for is dual sports. i personally don't understand them. i would rather have a cheap sport bike and a cheap dirt bike. they are each going to perform much better respectivly.

Not true at all, I have watched rr get spanked by f4i's time and time again, and it wasn't just the rider on the bikes.

As far as the dual sport, I can see them being very fun. Yea the bikes perform differently, but if you are ever around dual sports or motards, you will realize fast they can spank sport bikes in the curves. They just have a huge weight advantage.

I have been thinking about getting a liter bike for some time now (and I have ridden several crotch rockets from a '03 ZX9 to an '02 f4i). accorracer, What bike did you like better overall, the gixxer 1000 or the R1. I have always leaned more towards the R1 just for looks but performance wise which was better. And I know the '01 R1 you had was not fuel injected so that might not be fair to compare those two. Did you ever ride your cousin's '05 R1 vs. the gixxer? Which was you favorite? Thanks. Tom

I dont like the looks of the 04-06 models of the cbr600 f4i. I like the 03 and down models where the seat was separate.

yes i have rode the 05 r1 many many times.

if you like to look good the r1 is sweet, on the exterior, the dual undertail exhaust, and the gauge cluster.

both bikes are neck and neck. i think the gixxer has a little more bottomend and the r1 may have a little more on the topside. but they both are computer controlled to cut out at 186.

i personally rather the gixxer because it rides a wheelie much much much more easy than the r1. i can tote a wheelie on an r1 pretty far but i can tote a gixxer for days (as long as i don't do any more high chair wheelies)

these pics of my gixxer after i crashed
i got it completely painted the 2 days later i was doing a highchair wheelie and when i came down my body position was of and i wiped out pretty bad

depends but not really, all the banged up ones either get fixed, parted out or transformed into stunt bikes. but i'm sure you could always run accross a deal somewhere
