yah, that thing is sweet...

i have the stock heel guards on mine... my buddy keeps trying to get me to take them off cuz he says theyre ugly, but i like 'em... and i havent been able to find anybody that makes any propegs with heal guards for the 250r... except for IMS, which you have to buy the pegs, nerfs, and heal guards, and im not about to spend 450 for all that crap...

Thanks for the responses, guys! I do have the heel guards but they were not on in the pics...I need to update my photos! I have one of each year in similar condition (the '87 is not as nice as the others). It's nice to know there are others out there who appreciate the stock original 250r as much as I do!

That is a MINT 89!!!! Its hard to find them that clean stock these days. Keep it that way and it will be worth alot when you go to sell it!

Btw, I think that wire guard is stock. I thought the '89s had a cagelike protector.

ya it really looks like a stock part my quad was very stock when i got it had some bolt on mods but i do have that cage il give it to ya if its stock and you want it sure looks stock

That is a nice collection you have there. Do you own your own performance shop? But you really need to get some of the gold rims on that blue one. Do you ride those still, or are they more just a collector/show quads now.

Thats K&K's showroom. I dont know for sure but I think they sold atleast some of their 250r collection on ebay. I've seen them list some completely stock R's not long ago.

i was there this past tuesday and they still have all 4 of those. they had 6 all original 250rs a little while back but they sold 2 of them.
