on the throttle there is a little notch that extends out on the top of the bars. i was wonderin what purpose it serves and if i can cut it off to make more room for my hand gurads.
you cant see the actual piece i am talking about in the pic but it is the best pic i have to give you an idea of what i am talking about.

It is just for factory assembly. The directions that came with my powermadds said to cut it off.

alright thanks:D cuz the hand guard on that side was alot lower and i didnt have any room to move it up.:D

It is actually to maintain adequate spacing between the throttle housing and the front brake lever/master cylinder assembly. Move them too close to each other, and the front brake lever will be hitting the throttle housing and not getting all of its travel.
