hey i was wondering if the stock shift lever is reverse thread or if its factory thread because it seems like i have been trying to get it off and it feels like i am tightening it but it deosnt come of the other way either!!! so i need to know if its reverse thread or not thanx!

The pinch bolt that secures the shift lever is standard threading.

yea i just did it thanx! had to use a hammer though and for anyone doing the same changing ur shifter lever out its a 10mm wrench!!

And don't forget it comes off alot easier when you take the pinch bolt out all the way because it rides in the grove of the shaft.

hahah yea i know i figures that out when it wasnt coming off so i figured i would push it back to loosen it up a lil and it just went back farther! so then i took the bolt out and finally got it off! what a relief :p

for some good advice so you dont go through what i did, buy an aftermarket one if you ever take the stock one off. its a ****** when it gets alittle loose and the pot metal its made of strips and then dangles down and breaks your shaft even with the seal. the you have to split the cases and buy a 100 dollar shaft and then a new shifter

yea see i got an anodized red one cuz my screw was rusting out!
