Decided to buy something to play around on now that the others are gone. I want something cheap, doesn't have to be the best shape, nor a race ready built bike, though it doesn't hurt. I've owned a couple 250F's and just want to buy something cheap to play around w/on my backyard track.

It must be in good running order, however. If it needs rebuilt, we'll talk but I'd rather take a good running one. Price talks though. Preferably newer than a 93 as well.

It can be 125 or 250. I'd take a 4-stroke but I'm looking to stay cheap and it MUST be w/in a few hours drive. I am willing to drive roughly 4hrs to meet and get one and I'm located in southern Illinois.

Please only reply if you have pictures ready to send or in the post. I will be leaving town and returning at the end of this month but will have access to a computer each day. I plan to pick one up before May starts if possible or early in the month.

I'd say that's probably too new. I'm looking at around $1500 or less. I really don't care if it needs a little work. I have the cash to spend more but just want something to play with, not ride hard or race. I've got quads for that.

Now people, don't think I'm some punk who's waiting for daddy to get money to buy it. I have cash to go buy a new one if I'd like but like I said, I just want something to have a little fun on other than when I'm racing my quads or to have a little fun in the pits w/out blowing a lot of money away.

Where are you located? I've got a 96 cr250 i'll sell. It's got a pro circuit pipe and 304 factory sound silencer, hand guards, air filter, and a few other basic mods. I just bought it for $1300 but its waaaayyy too much bike for me being as little as i am. I definetly need a 125. That being said, It runs great, idles fine, and has tons of power, but the clutch needs work. I will be replacing everything that needs it in the clutch, then sell it to you for what i had in the initial purchase of the thing. I'll get pics if you're interested.

BUMP!

aaron -- the bike sounds nice but I've found a 98 CR250 locally that's only $1100 and a completely rebuilt engine not even broke in and fresh suspension. Will be looking into it if it's not gone.

I'd prefer a 125 bike though!
I can easily handle a 250 but would prefer just to have a 125 which is why I haven't bought one yet. Anybody w/a cheap 125, send me the information.

Sorry, looking for more of a race oriented bike. I've ridden one of them before and wasn't too pleased.
