I'm in the process of restoring my 1985 Chevy K5 Blazer, I cannot tell you how much I HATE rust, Its such a PITA! I'll be doing a 6" suspension lift, 35" tires, repainting the entire frame, doing tons and tons of body work, and lots more! Its such a shame the truck only has 67K miles but rust got the best of it, I wish it wouldn't have sat over grass for so long. :o But all should go well, and she'll be looking good in no time! :) Post your projects!

Good luck, that sounds like alot of work for a 85 blazer, is it worth it?

1fst400, from the back wall in your pic it looks like your dad is a SERIOUS collector and a bit picky as well about his stuff looking good.

We have a 61' Chevy 4x4 350 w/ 4 bolt mains and a 4 speed sitting in the backyard. It's been on hold for years now. Me and my dad are goin to start on it just as soon as I get my Mustang out of the shop!!!

at my work we are restoring the owners truck. its kinda like a hyrbid in a way. Its a 1948 ford F-6 cabover truck that has been extended to a 3 door instead of the 2 door and the front of the frame has been cut off and a 66 chevy 1 ton truck front end has been widened and welded on. Right now we are thinking about bagging the front and rear. we are also puttin a 454 in it. Metalmellinium on here is doin all the body work. I will get some pics and post em tomorrow night.

I'm actually over doing the body work, its not THAT bad, bodys actually in really good shape, just 2 spots in the floor pan, and some small spots to fill on the body, sandblasting the underside and undercoating it, spray on bed lining the floor inside. Its worth it to me, the truck has sentimental value. :)

The truck was blue, with blue interior, The interior is going to be all black, the truck with be gloss black with chrome and flat black parts, I'm fond of the stock rims so they will be painted black with and the chrome beauty rings I already have one done, and it looks SWEET, custom made steel bumpers front and rear, headers. 35" tires with a 6" suspension lift. Frame will be black, as well as the engine bay, and block, will have a chrome dress up kit, a cowl scoop, sunvisor, and bug shield will be added, many more things to come! Can't wait to get her done, already has a holly 600 street avenger carb and holly air filter, 2" duals, cd player, ect. Shes in teardown right now, Can't wait to get more stuff!

i've been working on a '49 for F2. Swapped in a 7.3 tubo diesel and the 6 speed out of a totaled f350 super duty. It actually works pretty good. The stock I-6 that was in the truck was longer than the 7.3 block. All brackets had to be custom done and the wireing was a pain in the ***, but it should be nice when it's done.

Nice score on the tires. I love the Chevy Blazers, I have an 87 K-5 thats 350TBI, 700R4 tranny. It really gets up and goes for an older truck. Yeah, blazers and actually most trucks from around that time period really tend to rust out bad, especially in places like behing the front fenders and around the rear fenders, tailgate.

If you need any information about the truck or didnt already know about the website, go to www.coloradok5.com there are a bunch of guys there that really know there stuff, especially when it comes to lifting.

As far as restorations, I have a 1975 Chevy C10 that I'm doing a pretty extensive restore on. I already got the motor all done, I rebuilt an old 250 inline 6, took off the goofy integrated head/exhaust manifold and replaced it with a seperate head dual exhaust 2 barrel carb. Ill try to get some pics of it up here soon

Nice trucks guys!

im not restoring really, but i am doing things to my 97 blazer 4 dr. Its dropped 3/3 with 20s, cowl hood in primer:( and a roll pan in primer:( and the 98+ front bumper and valence waiting to go on also in primer:(

i hope to get those tihngs painted soon and im ordering drop shocks all around, lowering keys, and lowering leafs for even more of a drop.

My future plans are possibly shaving the door handles, and possibly a ragtop for the whole roof. Im trying to slowly build a show truck. It takes time def.

Ya the third door is most likely gonna be suicided. Its not a 4 door just a 3 door.
