Where to mount the key?

Have an 06 and I got different bars, which wont work with the stock ignition switch and the neutral and temp lights. I was going to mount the lights in the hood, but i really dont want to drill holes in my hood. I want to keep the ignition switch, but is there an aftermarket part that I can buy to mount the ignition switch (with the key) on somewhere? How do you guys have yours set up for MX racing?

if i was you i would just cut it out and not have to deal with it period. but most people i have seen zip tie it to the inside of the frame rail between ur knee and the head on the motor

I have an '06 450er and when I get new bars, I don't wanna lose my neutral light. I see that the trailtech kit has a place for the high temp light and the key switch, but what about the neutral light? Any suggestions?

I put the neutral and oil light in the flat part on the top of the hood. I also mounted my key in the right front radiator shroud, about right next to the radiator. I then took some wire and wired the key to one of the radiator hoses, that way incase my key fell out, it wouldn't go far.

i just zip-tied mine to the frame, between the gas tank and sterring stem, its out of the way, doesnt get all junked up.

you really should try to keep the switch from getting all full of crap, there is only some cheap springs and contacts in there, ive had to chase a electrical problem b4 and thats what was causing the prob, it was on a diff quad though

I zip tied my key switch to the brake line and the oil temp light to the clutch line so when im in a race a quick glance down is all it take and its really neat looking and dont look all clogged up...

dont got any at the time but i could get some later in the week....it looks really good and all it takes it 2 zip ties mayb 3 for the key switch and 2 for the light....

Our 06 parts have room for both lights and the key.

I zip tied my ignition switch to my frame behind the front bars. easy to get to and still out of the way and protected. i zip tied my temp light to my clutch line so that I could see it as i am riding.
