rear brake trouble!

well i am finishing up my re-build and i am having some serious trouble getting the brake stay on for the rear brake! I can't seem to get the back bolt in, it just won't get alligned. When i try to put the bolt in, it hits the swinger and won't go. I've tryed everything i can tink of and am just pissed off, i will try to get some pics to show you what i mean.

I'm not quite sure if I know what your talking about, but I think you need to rotate your carrier inside the swinger, If the axle is at the bottom of the offset it needs to be on the upside. so nothing binds when you tighten or loosen the chain. It should line up after that.

so i take it that means i have to take the axle out to do that right? the carrier is at the bottom

the cam on the bearing carrier is on the wrong "stroke"....keep bringing it around and that hole will eventially line up. might have to take the chain off if you don't have enough play.
