i have to rip out my head light for races this year and i want to clean up the handlebars a little bit since i dont have lights anymore, i was lookin for a clutch perch and lever with a hot start lever, but the ones i found were 160 bucks:eek: is there any other cheaper brands or any other ways to do this. thanks

those generation x ones are nice but i kinda like the stock location. but it might be my next buy, i no the CRFs 450r and CRF 250r ones wont work, this needs to be made for stock 450r perch or universal

i have the works and would recommend going ahead and spending the extra money. it is very nice and i have the hot start in the stock location. i did have to buy a cable that would work with the lever but it was not that bad. i think i only paid 120 bucks for my lever and i am sure you do not want to pay that but i just wanted to let you know what i had.

You can use the stock cable with the ASV hotstart. You just need to think about it a little. I took the rubber boot off the stock cable, put the little metal piece from the boot onto the metal piece on the cable, then took a stock clutch adjuster, put it into the hotstart housing with the cable, and then I had to put some tape on the end of the cable, but it worked perfect. I'll try to put a pic up later so you can see.....
