quads???

hi, yes i am the newest member of this forum! (as you can see of my name) i am looking into buying an tav! but, i dont have ALOT of experienc with quads.... my friends own fourwheelers and i'd like to join the fun! but my dilemma is which one????? i would like a fast quad! my friend owns a KFX400 and it is fast (at least to me!) but i wanna beat him! i bought a 400EX with a jet kit and bored out to 470cc! but somehow i had to sell it back.... (LONG STORY!!!!) but i really want a nice, fast, and something that they make ALOT of parts for... so a 450R, 400EX, Raptor....? which one?

any help is VERY helpful!

hi, im from louisiana too, if you want to beat your friend you could just get a 400ex and with a pipe and jets.

where do you ride at?
what city do you live in?

before you get something fast you may want to get some experience in the atv area, the 400ex is a great quad with alot of power, for a new rider maybe too much and it can be modded to earn some respect.
the 450r is the bad boy and most likely more performance than a newer rider can use/handle
my oppinion would be the 400ex and a good helmet

if u have no experience-300ex if u have some experience-400ex/kfx400 if u have alot of experience and can handle a big four stroke- 450r/ltr450/yfz450

Honestly, i'd just start out with a 450 and save time and money on buying other stuff and working up to one.......yeah they do got power but they only go as fast as you ride them.....they are great for track/trail both so you get the most for your money either way.....just dont try doin too much too fast.....if you take your time they make for great quads to learn on

thanks guys! i mean its not like i have EVER rode a fourwheeler! but I personally have never owned one! i know my limits TRUST ME!!! but my frind has his 400 and then others have Banshee's and bombad. (however you spell it) and then like a new raptor! but i have rode them but i just never bought one! but imma go look at some quads.... mostly the 450R cause its fuel injected... but anything else...?

450R is not fuel injected. The new Suzuki 450 is though.

The suzuki may be a BAD choice for you since you probably plan on trail riding, since they have less ground clearance with 18" rear tires and they are 3-4" wider than a honda or yamaha 450.
