crashed the 400 bad

[2004-400ex]

Some kids and me built a new double today. I hit it first, overshot the landing and landed on the front tires, bars turned into my chest, front tires locked up flipped it forward it did 3 complete flips before smashing into a tree.

I am not hurt to bad but the bike is a mess
I bruised 3 ribs, broke 2 fingers, and was knocked out.
Damage to bike was bent sub frame, bent axel, twisted swing arm, cracked rear rim, popped a tire, bent steering stem, bent bars, bent the rear rotor, snapped the rear sprocket in half and snapped the chain

that sucks, atleast you arent hurt too bad.

I bet your tire isnt poped it just came off the bead, as you said you have a bent wheel, Im asuming its the same one.


snaped sprocket? snaped chain? how the heck did you manage that?

I have crashed pretty hard. but never heard of that hapening from a double. mabie if you land or rocks or sumthin...

it was a cheap chain and sprocket the off brand crap that you get for like 20$
its was a 50 foot double, not to big but biggest i have ever tried

crashes are never any fun. i just hit a barbwire fencetoday poped one of my front tires and did something to my front left tire because it wobles when i'm going down the road now i'll have to check it out latter. its all good tho i needed new front tires anyway.
get some pics of the quad on here tho

I dunno, some crashes are pretty fun.... I like the ones where nothing gets hurt, and you can laugh about it later.

i've seen alot of those 5mph crashes like last winter my friend was driving his sportsman 500 on an icey road and slid it into a ditch and put it on its side. it was really funny.

2 snowmobiler's died in Belleville ontario near our farm just this winter, a guy rigged aircraft cable between 2 trees (they ride on his property) and they didnt see it, tore there heads off, the wife was alive for a couple minutes, and the husband was dead, the guy following behind stopped and now is traumatized and said he will never snowmobile again, the owner got charged i believe.

i think there are no pics.in my opinion,thats alot of damage to the bike from a little jump.i've wrecked plenty of time and never had that much damage to a bike.not saying it cant happen,but i dont think all that happened to his bike.show us some pics and i'll say i was wrong!!!!

Dude, the quad rolled 3 times and smashed into a tree, I think it's quite possible that all that damage happened

I would put money on it that it neve hapened. and more money that it hapend but on like a 7 ft double and dident realy beak anything major.



I'm always afrad that Im going to run into some barbed wire or sumthin some dumbnut put up. A guy died on the old rail road beds behind my house. 2 kids thot it would be fun to chop a tree doun in the trail. guy ran into the tree going what people think was about 60 mph. doesnet take much I guess.


My dad is always puting chains up on driveways to houses that he is building. Just to discourage the honist criminals from steeling tools ext. Well anywasy. he doesnet event link the chain around the tree, he just has the rope blocking it off with a chain attached to it. so it looks like a chain, but is some dumbnut comes along and doesent see it, the rope with just snap.

LMAO.... Its going to take more than a new set of bars to fix that bad boy.... But I got a subframe that i'll sell you, its tweaked a little, but not as bad as yours... I'll let it go for cheap if your intrested, just something to get ya by for for a while.

maybe im lookin at the wrong part of the picture, but in that first picture i couldnt help but think DANG you must ride on the asphalt a LOT, i bought my razr 2's after they first came out, and i have rode the piss out of them, never on the street, but mainly trails/hills/roots/light mx... and i still have 80% tread left!!!

Now that I chest is not hurting so much I went and brought it back to my house I got a new sub frame and break rotor. I pulled the front shocks off and one of the bolts looks ready to snap. (I will get a picture later)

And the tires are worn because I ride in very rocky land
