I was wondering what white brothers slip on pipe I should get. the e-series or the R-4

How do they compare in sound I want a pipe the has a very low growl.

Performance?
duribility?

Does the r-4 come with a spark arester?

I just put my R4 on and it is low loud i think 100% better than E.:D :)

i was wondering about the differences of the two diff. pipes myself too! but i wanted to get the WB header pipe too. what are the preformance differences of the two with a new header or without?

cabex, it may be too loud for some trails, and i dont know if a quiet core is available. yes it comes with a screen-type spark arrester.

is the e-series too loud for trails? what is the desible rating on the e? with a quiet core on the e-series do you lose that low sound?

the eseries has a low deep groul and u can run it to keep sound down ( as in around 1/4 throttle) i have had no compalints from my friends about noise . and one friend said it sounded like a 426 was commin thru the woods. if that means anythingl ive heard a R4 and it sounded kinda raspy for me.

It sounds like you are kinda stuck on WB cabex.....I was too, but i just bought a T-4 from Pro-circuit, and I love the sound! You may wanna look into it..plus it is cheaper.

I have the e-sweries and lvoer the sound real deep low end!! havent tested it wide open yet, just got it.

isn't the t-4 pretty loud?

I need a pipe that is somewhat quiet but still has the nice low sound to it. I ride manly in woods and gravel pits.

I saw a R-4 on a 400 at hte duens, i didn't really like it as much as my e-series, but imo it looks better than the e-series.

if you have a 400 ANY pipe is going to give you a low growl

I actually have a quiet core on order for my T-4. I called Pro Circuit directly and asked them about db levels. They say the T-4 on a 400ex rates 101. With the quiet core they say it brings it down to 95db.
