you will have that problem with any skidplate...i had tot rim my armadillo on the wifes 400ex for the gt thunder linkage, so when i ordered the swinger skid for my 06 450r, i ordered one from prm that comes precut for aftermarket rear linkage...same price as the non-cut one...

here is the pic...i am a little worried that it will still not be enough for an aftermarket linkage. the linkage in the pic is the stock one...i have not had the funds to get the suspension done yet...got some rust on mu truck that needs fixed asap...http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-12/921056/skidplateon.JPG

so i called prm.they said they have the same skid in the pic above with no linkage box at all.so i was thinking about just cutting the box off and making it about 1-1/2 inches deeper. does any one have any good ideas?
