Anybody know of any insurance that we can get to cover you when you are racing? I had motomed and they lost there carrier:grr: Need to find some quick before our next race, I have searched the internet with no luck. My insurance through work has an exclusion for racing.

Thanks.

I dont think many, if any, insurance companies will cover you for racing, its too risky for them. If they did it would cost a hell of a lot of money on your end.

isn't that why you sign a waiver before riding/racing a track?

doubt it, but it would prob be cheaper in the long run if you didn't have it, and paid for your accidents yourself.

my insurance will cover me during a race. unless there is a specific exclusion they have to cover you.

thats a line of bull bro. My surgery costs for my leg alone cost me over 32,000 dollars. Hospital stay for 7 days almost equaled that. Then the 6months of physical therapy which cost 15,000 some dollars.

pay for it yourself? HAH!:p

Do you know what it cost to lay in intensive care for over 2 weeks? DO you know what a neuro surgery cost? Do you know how much a helicopter ride cost?

I do!!!!! been there done that!!! :eek2:

Thats is one reason I am not racing this year no insurance!!!

i have it through american general, the only exclusion is if you race for money. i went for some xrays and emergency room stay and only paid 75 bucks for all of it. even though i race pro for money in my series they dont know that. when i sent my bill to my insurance agent he asked me if i was racing for money and i said im not skilled enough to race the pro guys.

Doesnt health insurance cover surgury and things of that sort? You guys that are buying Race insurance should look into a health insurance policy through your work.

One of the first questions my insurance company asked me was: Do you particpate in any type of extreme activities? So in other words my insurance company doesnt cover anyrthing fun;)

Wait, is he talking about bike insurance or what???? Im confused.

My insurance covers racing, if it didnt Id be screwed. When I compressed my vertibrae at a track last year, I spent 3 days in the hospital and it ran my insurance upwards of $19,000. I wouldve been screwed without it, and alot of tracks require it.

I am needing just accidental medical insurance. My health insurance thru work has a claus in it that it will not cover you if you are involved in ANY type of motorized racing. I do not want to take a chance with not getting covered if I should have a mishap or if either of my boys got hurt as we all three race. I had motomed but they pulled there policies on racing. There must be something out there with all of the racers out there.
