my friend just put one on his yfz, the -4 flywheel from trailtech. It was a nice improvement. It revs up faster.

I ordered the crf ignition conversion from trailtech on monday, the flywheel is -10oz from stock. So will let you know how that goes.

We are looking for a heavier weight for GNCC and cross country racing. I noticed that Trail Tech now has a +8 listed for the 2006 model.

What would the heavier weight do?

The heavier weight would smooth out the power and make it less prone to stalling.

This would be advantageous in cross country events especially in tight woods situations.

You would notice a smoother more tractable power delivery.

rocky mountain atv has +8, not sure who makes it.

i would be interested in your review of a +8, if you do it.

I have ridden a friends CR250 with and without the weight. He has this bike setup for cross country. The difference is very noticeable!

Before the heavier weight, I could barely get out of first gear on my practice track. And I had really keep the rev's up. With the weight, I could actually get the bike up through several gears and easily run in tight spots in 2nd gear where previously I could only run in 1st.

I believe he installed a Steahly 9 ounce weight in the CR.

I have ridden other bikes before with heavier weights, it is a good investment especially for bikes like the Honda CR that is really lacking on the bottom!
