i have a 2002 400ex with 440 11:1, hotcams stroker cam, ported head and 1mm bigger valves, 38mm keihn carb, full exhaust and filter. think i would notice much from a cdi? a friend of mine keeps telling me to buy one cause he noticed a big difference on a stock kfx. but i here from alot of people that there a waste of money. i tryed a search only came up with people with stock motors. sorry for the long post.

The aftermarket CDI boxes make a difference to a modded motor more, since they give you more RPM that your modded motor can use. Either way you'll gain some RPM's (and speed from them). You may have problems starting cold, or not. Just keep the old CDI if there are any problems, it' can be worse other then the cold start problems.

do you know of any good cdi boxes the only one i no of is the white brothers ones and to stay away from that one.

theres this one in denniskirk for 284 then heres another one for under a 100 that sounds almost the same but the one above has more stuff u can do with it. does this the one for under 100 sound good or should i go for the one above money doesnt realy matter.
