header question

I had to order my new HMF exhaust and right now i dont have an exhaust ...i really want to run my quad so would it hurt it to just run off the header for a little bit?

no running with no slip on or muffler does not hurt it. but running without a header with kill your engine and expode your gas tank from all of the heat... saw it on cnn.com

i think it might..plus its gonna be louder than a TC if not louder

It could harm the engine if the resulting no-silencer configuration causes the engine to operate overly lean.

i rode mine for like 30 minutes while waiting for my Yoshi. but before i did all of the motor work to it, it was running way rich. so just the headpipe (w/ no silencer) my jetting was perfect. but it was LOUD. but its all good, cuz i live in the country. pretty much the middle of no where.

sad thing is i cnat tell a ton of diffrence with or with out a muffler with this r4 i love the pipe but no one(neigbors/cops/anyone who hears it) else does
