Leaking fuel out of over fuel

I just noticed that my skid plate was soaked in gas, and is coming from over flow tube sometimes just dripping out. I tighted the screw and it didn't not help? I was thinking my float was off and wondering Some times my qaud will run flawless and i will be hammering it down a straight a away and it will miss? I have no clue what is up

any advice

<Golly, gee whiz!> i got that same plroblem, my whole rear shock was soaked i thought i blew it up, then i smelt it and it is gas.

i have the same problem too. my rear shock i drenched in gas. i have no idea whats wrong. maybe my floats stuck or something. someone help us out here.

Gas leaking out of the overflow tube means that the float is sticking in the down (open) postion. Remove the carb and clean it thoroughly. You may be able to get away with just removing the floatbowl and cleaning everything you have access to but if the float is sticking the whole carb could use a good cleaning.

BTW, the floatbowl drain screw (and hose) are separate and unrelated to the carb overflow hose.

having same problem.done took mine all apart and cleaned it.and still just pours from the tube until i cut the gas off.came here to find out why and seems to have ever1 stumped.lol

I had this problem also but it just stopped by its self??
