Well guys just in time for my local Mx season i will be building up my 06 450er. this quad was bought new around christmas time of 2005. Since then i have only added tires and nerfs and bars. It will now be getting well we'll just say some goodies. Here are some pics to work from. of the before at least. After work tonight i will be posting the tear down. Note: frame will not be touched because it is too far into the season.

You'll get more replies if you inform us on what aftermarket products you're getting, or ask questions. I'd like to see the build.

Good idea...

Moto-Tech +3 Heim Joint LT a-arms
Custom Axis 20" Remote Rezzi Dual Rate Comp/Reb shocks with Ti main spring.
LSR +3 Axle
SS lines all around.
Rox Risers with 1 1/8" Clamps
Black Fat Bars

Nothing big, just enough to get the quad on the track... This quad has enough power right now for indoors and just with the baffle out it sounds great. Pipe should be coming soon when i pay off my front end...(16 year olds do not make a fortune and im buying everything myself with some help from pops)

What pipe is everyone running right now? Im torn between Rossier and HMF. I have always ran HMF so im kind of biased towards them.
Ill go snap a pic or two of it all torn down nothin you aint seen before.

if your doing nothing big, why waste so much on the Ti springs? why not save that for the rear shock and linkage? or some wheels/tires
or what ever else you might need?

The rear shock/linkage i have dialed in and i am happy with it for now. I can skip across the tops of whoops with no packing, and it absorbs some of the worst cases with ease. Later on in the year i will be going with a GT thunder setup but for now it will be stock. While i will not be doing anything "big" i will be racing the Red Bud national and racing competitively in the A class locally. What sucks is that the class that i race in now requires me to race B class at Nats and i do not think im ready for that. Either way we will see. I went with the TI because i got an extremely good deal on them.

As for tires and rims i have 2 rear sets of klaws on 8" rims, 1 set of klaws on douglas rims and another set of razr mx's on stock rims. I have never had a problem with beads rolling off and some of the pros do not use beadlocks and have no problem.

every pro runs beadlocks in the rear, u wont have many problems with beads rolling on the fronts but if u land crooked on the rear they will come off, and unless u have reinforce rings u will bend the rims if you jump at all

thats what i was thinking. i personally think the ti's r a little to much shock. i would save some cash and improve the rear. u will realize how bad the stock rear suspension is when u get the front bolted up. on the braking and accelerating bumps the stock rear end will buck like crazy.

i dont know if id jump into A right away man. u might be shocked on how fast these guys are. unless u live in a low talent area then go for it.

well im not jumping in from nothing, this will be my 4th year racing...
I practice a couple of Pro Am riders so i know whats out there, now im not saying i keep up or anything close but once again i know how fast these people are. And my district is not AMA but is CRA, so the competition isnt so stiff.
here is last years ride, not the fastest but was enough to get me some top spots in the b class or open-4-stroke class

dude! are are u lying or what? because first of all CRA doesnt have a B class theres no open-4-stroke class either, just open, four-stroke, and woodsman, also dude theres no way u could race four-stroke B at nationals!!! dont want to be mean but it sounds like your lying ive seen u ride dude!!

If you race 4-stroke or Open you have to race B class at nationals. I lost all my points last year by not doing that.Open-40stroke i meant open and 4-stroke (raced them both last year) And where have you seen me ride?
