Well.... if you are sick of your 300ex and can't afford a 450r I would say that the only logical option for you would be a 400ex (if you want to stay on a honda).

Otherwise a Z400 would be good.

Z-400 or a 250r.

I would say....400ex. Not a big bore engine that's gonna need to be constantly checked over and maintained on a regular basis, but powerful enough to keep you entertained. You can slowly add mods to it as you want it to be faster and make it just about as powerful as you could need. Plus, parts for them are cheap and plentiful. Overall they're pretty simple too. Single cylinder honda 4-stroke air cooled engine....Not a whole lot can go wrong with it, and it's pretty much bullet proof as long as you dont do anything to crazy as far as modding it.

cool thanks i like tha 400ex idea, but what about a blastor. i know a guy who is selling 1 for 1500 and i rode it and it is AWSOME!!!!

Your 300ex should be faster than the blaster.

Don't bother with a blaster. A 400ex is faster, more powerful, more reliable, better handling, and overall a much better quad. Plus, if you look around, you can find a decent mostly stock one for about $1800, or a nice project for cheap to build up.

If you liked the Blaster, you will love a 250R. Much faster, handles better than anything, light, excellent brakes, and liquid cooled. Plus the aftermarket companies have a ton of parts for them. I would definately recommend a 250R or a 400ex if your wanting a 4 stroke to chug around on.

Haha, I liek the 3rd choice:devil: . A 250r makes for a great project. Plus it will kick the chit out of any modern quad (except 450's, and other big bore 4 strokes, No a 400ex is not considered a "big bore" 4 stroke) with basic mods. By basic mods I mean, pipe, reeds, filter. You throw a full national kit in a 250r, and the 450 willl need mods to be able to keep up with you.

Actualy you put a pipe, filter, and a port and polish on a 250r, which is minor work, and it will keep up with the new 450's.

Why would you taint such a pure frame with an ugly, hulking four stroke motor? :D

Just get an R and put a Sabertooth 500 Cylinder in it!

a 250r will keep up with any 450r and with slight mods will be faster than one. ask most pros and they would tell you they would still be running them if they were allowed. they are not allowed in the pro classes anymore. they are lighter, handle better and pull better up hills. you just can't lug them around like a 4stroke.
