more power from my 440ex

what else can i do to get more power from my 400ex??? i have these mods already Modifications include a wiseco 440 12.5:1 high compersion big bore kit with new valves and springs, port and polish, stage 2 cam, full sparks racing x-6 exhaust, k&n and prefilter. and big gun rev box. i almost beat my uncle today on his 450r i was 1 or 1 and a half lengths behind so what can i do to beat him in a drag race?

make it a 460

Get a 450r Carb .. It will add you approx 4 HP gain. Its a great inexpensive mod to add.

i just put the 440 kit in so i dont wanna go 460 i didnt know they made one. also will i have to rejet the 450 carb? or can i run it outtta the box??

Sometimes you can get by with transfering your 400ex jets into your trx 450 carb, it will be real close- its kind of a pain getting the 450r carb to fit into the 400ex intake, and you'll have to slightly shim your tank, the 450r carb has dual vent tubes that run on top of the carb and will be pinched off if you just sit your tank on them. I would be happy with all the mods you've done and can still hang w/ the 450r. Maybe you can do some gearing changes w/ your sprockets or maybe try a Sparksracing unlimited rev box. Just be real careful, if you have the oversized valves in your head- its real easy to float one and destroy your top-end. I'll be the first to say " it's not a pretty sight"- mine did it last weekend. Now I'm back to square one on my motor.
