View Full Version : 300ex charging

My 300 wont hold a charge on the battery never did since i owned it. Always bump started it and it ran fine. Now when started it runs good for a min. then misses and cuts out. It will idle and rev good with battery charger on it, but soon as you disconnect the charger it misses and stalls. Is there any tests to narrow down the problem? Any help would be great.

You need to fix the underlying problem. A new battery is just a bandaid. You clearly have a charging problem and a new battery will only last so long. Check the battery voltage while the quad is running with a multimeter, it should be around 13.5-14.5 volts. If voltage is less than that start testing electrical parts until you narrow down the culprit. Make sure all connections are good, good metal-to-metal contact, etc when you change the battery.
