I heard in another thread on another site, that if you just use a 350x boot from the air box to the carb, that it increases air flow? Is this true and where could I get a new 350x air boot, since I never see them on ebay and service honda doesnt have a spot for them.

Also does the 400ex compliment a minimal worked 300ex motor??? Or will it just bog it down?

Where did you find that service manual?..Also you should try and make your own air box

Looks like you need #16. Not sure if this will actually help, because I haven't actually done this myself, but the more air the better. I was told by the local Honda shop GURU GOD that it will definitely improve everything, you be the judge. What you are wanting is the carb intake from the air box. The other air tube in the picture (well two actually) is/are intake boots for the air box, not the carb.

After further review, maybe it's #18, but either way, you know which one I'm talking about.

yeah that is number 16. I think i might try to get one. Then when I want to get a 400ex carb later, I will already have the boot. First I need to get some a arms and an axle.....:D
