I've heard that if you don't have a baffle on your muffler, it will mess up yor piston, is there any truth to this

are you serius??? If you take the baffle out, it MIGHT hurt the piston. Why would honda make a a exhaust with a baffle that will hurt the piston. And I noticed that you are new here. Welcome to the site.:bandit:

you could possibly throw a valve but you would have to ride the bike hard for about a few years without the spark arrestor/baffle
best thing to do is keep the baffle in, theres no point to taking it out, there is no power gains all u get is a loud bike!

unless you rejet it it will run too lean and hot, that is the only reason you would blow a piston. unless someone gets pissed off at how annoying the thing sounds an decides to throw a nut down your spark plug hole to shut the thing up:blah:

chances are with your yoshi system, the baffle you are refering to is the spark arrestor. which does not affect your bike much at all in or out, all it does it captures and cools "sparks" from leaving your system and starting fires. i highly doubt that any spark arrestor creates enough back pressure to cause any internal damage if it were to be removed.
