its to help keep your feet from slippin down between the net and the frame, your supposed to put a couple more on their and wrap them with electrical tape but i put that one on and got side tracked yesterday so i havent finished. Im not sure how well it will work, i just thought it was a pretty decent idea to try. I'll take them off if they start gettin hung on stuff

Im plannin on gettin some rear razr2's or holeshot xcr's sometime to replace those fat 22'' xct's

they look alot better in person, but goto autozone or somewhere like that, and get a sanding block and some wet/auto sand paper, i used 180 grit,220,3??,600,800,1000,1500. The 180-220 are the most important, just sand till you get all the deep scratches and cuts out, and work your way up (you dont need any aircraft paint remover, the 180 pulls it right off no prob).
Then polish it about 5-6 times with the little red can of mothers mag&aluminum polish. The better you sand it, the better it will look

cody, my dad came in and saw i was looking at pics and he said you have a nice quad! you should take that as a compliment because he never thinks people have nice quads.. i like it a lot to. its clean and it doesnt look like you beat it up. nice quad!

thanks alot......i bought it myself last year, and i pay for all the mods. Its a 99 and the guy i bought it from, i could tell, didnt take that great of care of it because the oil was jet black when i got it. But i take good care of it, but i still ride it hard

That looks pretty dang good, and definitely clean..... I love the look of the powermadds, and thinking about getting me some, and the nerfs work great.... I won't ever buy a quad again without nerfbars.

I started to do that to my 400 but I did not take it off so it does not look that great right now. Did you take bothe the mounts off at the same time or just one side to it then do the other side?

If your looking for a little more to polish without going overboard, you can do your heatshield and HMF. I did mine and it looks pretty good, your quad looks almost brand new for a '99!
