Harlen finished 5th overall on a "Craptor" at todays GNCC and he hasnt rode a quad since Glen Helen. I reckon he did not get your memo:D

There is some differences between the 04/05 and this 06...all for the better....except the carb. Im sure i will hone up on what the fix is over the next few days.

its pretty sweet raptor, but its al suspension and tires, no pipe or engine mods

Comparing it to a 06 450R.....they are really close now in power. The 04/05 450R's, even piped just lacked the snap the YFZ has. With the changes to the Honda for 06, it is a much closer comparision now. I do notice the power of the 06 YFZ is smoother then the previous model years but it still likes to be hammered.

The biggest thing I noticed getting back on a YFZ was the way the quad feels(ergonomics) I will have to do some measuring, but it feels like they raised the peg height but that could be entirely on ME seeing my 450R has pro peg style nerfs and going from one to the other feels quite different now.

Some changes are apparent, others not but everything seems to be for the better with exception of carburation. The dead spot if you stab the carb will have to be attended to, its no fun landing a jump and stabbing the throttle and finding that dreaded FCR bog. I did not feel this bog on the 06 Honda, but it had been dyno'd to get the jetting spot on, which we will do on this machine in the next few weeks after i break it in.

And do not hold your breathe for alot of changes.....the quad is great as it sits and for what i intend to do with it, she will be fine. A tire and rim change ofcourse....

Nothing....

At the begining of the season, RP informed everyone they would be splitting the stock class, which would force Harlen to ride in the afternoon. It came down to the choice of him racing or covering the afternoon events for the site. He chose the coverage!

As far as the Suzuki, he still has them, along with a few Yamahas and Honda's the factories have offered him to race as he see's fit. I reckon he wanted to break in the new Raptor 700 so thats what got loaded in the trailer for Big Buck:p

(truthfully, I bet the raptor was the first quad he could get to so it was picked...he is one lazy mofo:devil: :blah: )
