xr400 clutch cover

i have done loads of searches on this subject and i know it will fit the 400 ex but all the threads i have read are for putting a hinson cover on as a cheeper option than the hinson 400ex one
what i want to find out will the xr one fit with the standard cover on

I believe it will fit....but be very very careful.

The side cover itself is extremely weak, and I broke 2 of them just installing them:(

what do you mean the main side cover or the clutch cover itself??????

The main side cover itself is weak....

the clutch inspection cover is fine, wether its a hinson or stock xr400

i suppose it is as the strenth to stop it flexing is the inspection cover but as long as the inspection cover is on it should be ok i think
