looks like a spider... it getting warmer out here and the tranchulas will be coming out soon.. i will get some good pucs of the ones me and my brother catch this summer.. they are huge and wll acturally chase you if they get the chance... 8i aint even joking!

You have seen the wolf spider that was chillin' in my house last week. I was watching TV about 11:00 one night when I caught a glimpse of something large moving on the floor. That was one big son-uva-gun! :eek2:

When I was in the Army out in California we'd go on field exercises for a few weeks in the spring. Every time you'd set something down and pick it back up there'd be either a big black tarantula or scorpion sitting under it. The taratulas are pretty mello though, you could just scootch em away with your boot (protected species and all ya know). The scorpions got the working side of the boot ;)
We had a lot of black widows up in Chico when I lived there.

holy hell, i couldnt handle bugs like those! one time i lived in Whistler, and i had a black bear come in my house and ramsak the kitchen when i was sleeping, all the cupboards were knocked off the walls and sh1t, but that didnt bother me, but a spider like that just chillin on my wall...i would LOOOOSE it, wd-40 flame thrower.
For curiosity and fun, I looked on google for california spiders and am guessing its a huntsman spider.

After I posted the pics, I realized your spider's pic has 10 legs, spiders only have 8, so I knew it wasnt a spider.
Its a sun scorpion I think, which they say is harmless.

we don't have huge ones like that in WA, but big enough to freak me out. there are several .22 size holes in my garage walls.

Are you kidding me? That spider chillin on the toilet paper is the nastiest thing ever! I would seriously freak out if I ever found that. Spiders freak me out more than anything......shudders.. I feel like its going to leap off the screen onto my face...sooo..gross haha

I HATE spiders, or spider-like scorpions. I am so glad the biggest spider around here is only about the size of a quarter, and here you'll be lucky to find one that big.
my favorite is the black widows..ill see about 3 of them every year. i love playing with them

ughh i hate spiders so much, im a wuss, im even afraid of the teeny tiny ones too:rolleyes: the other night there was one crawling on my dresser, about the size of a nickel, then it ran as i went for a kleenex, so i slept on my couch..........and btw, i hate that movie, just because the spiders

Don't worry. I'm the same way. I've actually slept on the couch or the guest room just because I saw a centipede and a spider in my bedroom last summer.
And what sucks for me is that centipedes kill spiders...so when I notice there aren't many spiders around...that's usually because huge, hairy, centipedes are crawling around instead....
OMG, now my skin is crawling and I won't be able to sleep tonight...great...just great.

Imagine the world without spiders.....consider them insect populartion control.

id grab the 10 gauge 3 1/2 mag turkey gun, or id burn my house down to the ground if i seen a big spider in it.
some guy up the mountains had a cabin, came up one weekend after a long time away, and it was full of rattlesnakes, short story long he burned it down and the insurance company understood

Each one is still about as big or a little bigger than my hand. Which is about 10 times bigger than anything here!!
