Hey guys anybody have the inside part of the clutch. The part the steel plates lock onto for sale? Also how do you hold this still to get the nut off? I busted mine tonite trying to get my bottom end apart. I stuck a screwdriver in between those posts that the springs go down over and snap. I know better but I was getting in a hurry. Pm me with price if you have one.

I dont know if this is a job you will want to do.... I would take it to a dealer or a shop and pay them to fix this.... This sounds like a pretty hard job if you dont have the right tools to do it and even if you do it will be hard.. call a dealer and tell them your problem and they will tell you to bring it in or they will do somethin about it... nuttin to panic about thats why the made service shops!! IVE HAD MY SHARE OF TRIPS!!

I broke mine also. Order the part from servicehonda. Should be around $50. Use an impact to get the nut off. Make sure the metal tab is bent back. If you use an impact you don't have to worry about holding the center clutch.

The dealer will rip you on labor, mine is $60 an hour. It's not hard at all.

Dealers arent too bad if you have done business with them alot... I have my 4-wheeler in the shop up in Columbia Missouri at PROCYCLE alot and they are real cooperative and dont charge me sometimes cuz my quad is in the shop sooo much

get an old friction plate and steel plate bolt them together so that they fit in the basket the put a penny in the crank gear and undo the penny is soft enough not to damage anything
i have used this metod for years and have never had a problem there is a honda tool that goes in the crank gear but the penny does the same thing.

I am a very able mechanic and I can't and won't pay crazy labor charges for a shop to do this for me . I just got in a hurry and did something dumb. I have an impact wrench. I just need a way to hold it to get it loose. I tried to get ahold of it with a strap wrench but that wouldn't work.

Usually hitting it with the impact will knock it loose as long as the metal tab is bent over so the nut can be removed. You shouldn't need to hold it from spinning. An old friction plate and fiber vice gripped together might possible work also.
