At 6pm I ordered my 440 kit from FST. I am soooo pumped to get this installed.

Anyone run into problems when doing their big-bore?

Gabe>>>>>>>>Leo>>>>>>>> suggestions on what else to tweak while I am in there??? Not spending more money now. Stuff like porting/polishing, exhaust head pipe, valve job???????????

i would definitely get a header pipe. a well breathing 440 resembles an air compressor. recently when i broke my pro meg exhaust i got a big gun with oversized headers and it blows circles in the sand about 3 feet behind the quad when idling

If you went this far why not go all the way. Drop in a cam and do all the head work (port and polish, valves). You will not be disappointed! ;)

I wont be disappointed...........my wife will. Cam will come on next valve adjustment due.

FST's kit is $285 w/sleeve and gaskets.

Only problem , you might come across is the dowel pins won't fit because the new sleeve is in the way. Just grind half the pin so she fits.

If you are trying to keep costs down, you might want to grab an XR400 cam (~$120) your going to have it apart anyway...

GT Thunder also has a new cam that people seem to really like, and it's been reported that you don't need hardened rockers, so it might be another option to consider...

I'm not sure how the XR cam works with a 440 though... anyone tried it?
