Airbox lid removal

I removed my air cleaner housing lid for a short ride. I have heard that this may help with power. My 300 seemed to almost feel more sluggish but much louder. Would larger jetting help, or is this mod just a waste of time?

when u take off the lid and rejet (its mostly called a stage 2) its better to rejet. there are people out there gettin 4wheeler to be like mike or to look cool and do stuf to that hurt the quad. im not blaming u or tellin u ur wrong but main rule of thumb if u get more air u need more gas to even out the air fuel mixture. if not it might run lean and hurt ur quad. hope this help
