2006 GNCC "Steele Creek" Round #3 - Morning Race Coverage

Traci Cecco has won both rounds so far. She is trying to make it 3 in a row.

Missie Legge and Kim Muzzarelli were ready to race.

Jennifer Fulkerson had her first podium in round two. She get round 3 off to a good start with the holeshot.

Jennifer Albright followed in 4th position.

Stefanie Verkade has had a good start to the season. She was running in 5th position early in the 1st lap.

Ashlie Whaley was hoping for better results this week after a poor finish in Georgia.

Kristen Atwell running in 7th.

[WOOLIN]

Kim Muzzarelli held the 8th spot.

[WOOLIN]

Angel Atwell came around with 50 second lead after the first lap.

[WOOLIN]

Jennifer Albright moved up to take over 2nd.

Stephanie Verkade moved up to 3rd.

Ashley Whaley in 4th.

After a crash Traci dropped back to 5th but Jennifer Fulkereson helped her get going again. With Stephanie Parton out of the race Traci would have her work cut out for her if she hoped to catch Angel and try for 3 wins in a row.

Jennifer followed Traci through the pack to get within striking distance of Angel.

[WOOLIN]

Jennifer Albright slipped back to 4th after being passed by Traci and Jennifer Fulkerson.

Angel Atwell ran into trouble on the 3rd lap that cost her the lead and maybe the win.

[WOOLIN]

Traci took advantage of Angel's bad luck and took the lead on the 3rd lap.

[WOOLIN]

Traci takes a hard fought victory.

Angel made up 45 seconds on the last lap but fell just short finishing 2nd.

Jennifer Fulkerson finished in 3rd place overall for her 2nd podium in a row.

It didn't take long for John to take over the lead.

Ken Vickerd moved up to the 2nd spot but would only be able to complete 1 lap. He finished 5th.

Thomas Waybright finished in 3rd.

Richard Martin had a good day with his 2nd place finish.

But the win went to John Gallagher Sr.

Billy Good gets the holeshot.

Billy had mechanical problems again and would only complete 2 laps.

Caleb Jones finished 4th.

[WOOLIN]

Cody Bloser finished 3rd. But the win would go to Scott Sleppy with Blake Chasserean getting 2nd.

Ken Robey was rolling in 4th place just 15 seconds back from the leader at the end of the first lap.

Will McCampbell had only a 2 second lead over Swift when they crossed the line at the end of the first lap.

Kevin Trantham took over the 5th spot from Penland.

Mike Penland fell back to 8th place on lap 2.

This creek might not be big enough for the both of them.

Mike Penland had a rough time on the 4th lap he finished in 9th place just ahead of Mike Chirdon.

Everybody likes watching ATV's race.

Chris Fischer got around Penland for a 8th place finish.

Richard Travalena stayed around 7th place all day and that's where he finished.

Jeffry Maloney was as high as 5th at one point he slipped back to come in 6th.

Kevin Trantham rounded out the top 5.

[WOOLIN]

Ken Robey battled hard with Will McCampbell but finished 2 seconds back in 4th.

Michael Swift took the win by just over a minute followed by Sam Williams and Will McCampbell had a solid top 3 finishs.

Hoyt Penland was running in 3rd on the first lap.

Ron Moore was in 4th place but fell back to finish in 14th.

Michael Shelly moved up to 3rd by the end of lap 2.

Holt Penland faded back to finish 5th.

[WOOLIN]

Kevin Johnston went wire to wire for the win. But he only beat Michael Shelly by 2 seconds

Michael Shelly came up just short. But 2nd place isn't bad.

Only 16 seconds seperated 1st from 3rd. Jesse Mekins took home a 3rd place trophy.

Brock Parker won the last race in Georgia but a DNF in Flordia hurt him in the points. I wonder if the mohawk makes him go faster?
