Hey, I have a few questions about my 2005 400ex. When i'm riding it, I rev it out quickly with the five gears, and it seems like I need another gear. Do you guys have any ideas to solve this? I like riding down at St. Joes, MO & sand pits(?). Should I put a new front & rear sprocket on my quad? If so, how many teeth should I put on the front & rear. I'd like your help.

the 16t would be alright but not if you have a stock quad. i just put a 15t on mine and i absolutly love it, all the gears seem longer and it is quite a bit faster on the top end. and just to let you know some grinding of the case saver is required for a bigger sprocket, or you can just run without one.

Dont you DARE run without a case saver....

A 5-10 minute grinding job is alot better than having your quad sit in a mechanic shop for ALONG time while you pour your hard earned cash into it.

If that chain snaps, without a case saver your case will be TOAST.

I ride at St. Joe all the time about every weekend... give me a P.M and let me know when you are goin to ride and me and my buds will meet up and ride with you.

it took me a lot longer than 10-15mins to grind the case saver down!!! i thought it was gonna be a quick job but no matter how much i grinded it seemed to still not fit. in the end it was so thin that i doubt it will do anything, but it is better than nothing!
