Do you have any pics of the tach mounted on your bike, I looked the part number up and it was only like $45, is that right?

I bought one of these for my R when I got it. Easy install, looks good and worked well....that is until the battery let go. No access to replace it and then you find that it's soldered in once you've cracked into the case. I'm not entirely sure the batt. was dead but it had broken away from the board. Also, I mounted the housing up front on my bumper so I could see it without looking down too far but it didn't like the water even though it should have been sealed.

When it worked it was great, when it stopped I realized how poor it really was. Can't replace the batt.? Internals not rugged enough to put up with a few bumps? Not worth it, IMO. I'm waiting for the trail tech tach.

well so far the ol trail tech has hel up good. and on plus is that you can remove the battery, and also the computer itself just clips in and u can clip it and unclip it, for instance when its raining really bad,or when you go to spray it off with a pressure washer.

HRC_rider,

We will be shipping Vapor in May. I have been running it. Works great. Tach is real time and shift lights are easy to see. Engine temperature is a very useful feature. Here is a screen dump:

Nice pic in the fishtank. As stated earlier, I'm waiting for this tack. May can't come soon enough. Is the external temp sensor integrated into the unit or an additional component? Will this unit have an EGT input as well? Looks sweet.

Thanks for the update trailtech!

Very easyt to install, takes about 30 minutes and no special tools are required. For the water temperature, you need to cut the radiator hose and install the sensor in-line.
