I dont know about taking off, but yes it will sit a little higher.

I personally think so, I can ride mine for a while then get on my brothers stock 400 and it seems like it beats the hell out of me. Would I pay the 200+ dollars these shocks are going for anymore?, I doublt it, I bought mine for 100.00, so I couldnt pass it up. Personally I think if someone is having to pay 200+ for these shocks, you might as well get aftermarket and put them on, its not that much more money. Just my .02 though.
