300ex cam and valves!

Im currently building a 330ex and cant find any aftermarket cams. is there any companies out there offering a larger cam for the 300? Also is there any companies offering oversized valves?

hot cams and white brothers also make cams. pretty sure web cam makes cams and valves for a 300ex

I don't think hotcams makes a cam for the 300ex, but I know that WebCams does. In fact, they make several different configurations.


A word of advice. In stock form, the 300EX is pretty choked up, it has small ports and valves. They're almost too small for the stock bore, let alone a 330cc. I would highly suggest some porting and oversized valves to open it up and let it breath, it will really benefit the high RPM range.

I have heard from several of the top engine builders that the stock sized exhuast valves are fine on a 300ex, at least for a 298cc's, but the intakes deffinatly need to be larger. Now on a 330cc's it might need them not sure, I have only talked to them about GNC youth production legal motors. Wilkin is very right on the porting, a stock 300ex is very choked up. Hot cams also dosent make a cam for a 300ex but Webcam, white brother, powroll, and megacycle does, Altho im almost positive the White Bros. cams are just webcams with White Bros name on it. If you do P&P, and cam it I would suggest at least a 400ex carb, but I have heard a 38mm Lectron is hard to beat on a modded 300ex.

I am running a MX cam from Four Stroke Tech in my 330ex. I beleive it's just a custom ground WEB cam. Good torque, but still likes to rev out. Perfect for how I ride it.
