why would you do that, you'd be better off spending the extra money on the stock sti since it has full suspension and other things to compliment the car.

insurance would most likely be close to the same on both cars as they are both performance cars of the came model, the only difference is the purchase price, which will directly reflect what you get back say if your car was stolen. This may put the payment up slightly but only an idiot would put an sti motor in a new wrx. The cost wouldn't justify it, because you would have to buy the sti moto(which is pricey) and sell the motor in the car (which you will not get enough out of), but i could see some tuner freak putting an sti motor in an older wrx, that you cold get cheaper

^ As for that, that is very untrue. Not to bash the guy with the WRX, but Evo vs STI is already an old story. Out of all the reviews and tests, Evo proved to be on top. The 4wd system in the Evo outperforms the STI. Yaw control and electronic drivetrain on the Evo is unbeleivable. Not trying to argue, test drive both and youll see. Both cars are along the 30k range, and if I were to pick one, def. gonna be the Evo after seeing Top Gear reviews and seeing it perform out in the Nurburgring track.

I've always been a Subaru fan and Subaru has proven themselves over and over again with their high-quality vehicles. I have an old '87 Suby that just don't die for the life of me, finally broke one of the front axles are getting some air and hitting a berm.

My sister is thinking about trading in her POS made Acura RSX Type-S for a WRX or the STi WRX. She's been having problems with the front end of her RSX and the dealership can't seem to find the problem.

And btw - To the kid who said he's going to get one when he gets his license, HOW are you going to afford that car and HOW are you going to be able to handle a near 300 HP high-performance car when you have no experience at all?
