Taking out the voltage regulator???

I know I have heard something about how to do this but does any one know how to eliminate the voltage regulator that could give me the exact steps of what to do? I don't need it, I don't have lights or anything and the guy that had it before me didn't even have the wiring harness for it. There were just three wires connected with wire ends (red, pink, and black) Just need to know so give me what you got.

you need the voltage regulator so when the power comes off the stator, it is put to the right level to charge your battery...you need it

Oh ok, well I thought you could oh well. I can't figure it out I switched out my frame and went to put it back together and it didn't work. I don't know what to do, other than get a whole new wiring harness and redo all the wiring.
