Paint??

I repaint stuff on my R that needs repainting, it is a 20 yr old machine it needs keeping up, So what paint lasts longer and looks the best??
Any tips??

well, i paint over parts too. make sure you clean up the part that you're going to paint and always start with a good primer. Krylon and rust-o-lium works great. I use a hi-temp primer just because it holds up much better. usually 1 light coat than a heavier second coat. for paint, i do 1 light coat, than go over it 3-5 times depending on what i'm painting. ALWAYS use a clear coat. the paint will hold up longer if you spray a few coats of clear over. On my a-arms i did about 6-7 coats of clear. they look great! heres a pic of my a-arms:

will a normal type spray paint like rustoleum hold up if i use it on my engine (just on the bottom end, not on the jug), or will the temps get too hot for it? If it will hold up, should i do primer/ color/ clear?

I use this X metals, for my quad, i dont know how well it works thought, Ive only had it on for about a week now.
