Round one of the IATVHSS was set to kick off with the youth race at the Farm mx track near Indianola,IA. Heavy rains pounded the course in the early morning hours on Sunday making the track a slimy mess for the kids to start out the days events. Many of the riders would be finished after only a lap or 2. The 50 classes were the first to get lined up for their 30 minute race.

90 production class flying off the line. I believe Chance Kellison would take the holeshot but it would be the last time you saw him as he broke his chain in the first 1/2 mile of the track. Only 3 of the 7 racers would finish the race.

Last lap and still on the throttle.

These kids really showed their spirit racing in these conditions. I hope to see them all again at Brooks for the next round of IATVHSS action. Hopefully a little drier but many racers love it like this!!

As always if anyone has any youth pics lets get them added. If you want email them to me at monicac70@yahoo.com Thanks!!!
