I am just checking. I am thinking about getting rid of the bike. This is a 2004 Yamaha YZ250F. Now for the mods.
Just replace fork seals and revalved the suspension for 155lb. B rider. (Combat Suspension)
New front tire (Maxxis SI up front and IT in back)
Full Duback Pipe
Zip Ty fuel mixture screw
Tab 7/8 bars
Twin Air filter
New DID chain
Hertz oil fill cap (red)
Bike was raced one full MX season and a couple XC races. Bike was maintained meticulously. Oil was changed after every race or every 5 hours. Bike starts in the first 3 kicks.

It looks well used by the look of the frame but it's not in bad shape I would love to have a bike like that but i still like my 4 wheels. Blue has got to be the worst colour to show stress lines in.

Almost 60 hours, and the valves are in perfect spec.

Yes, if you do that it will get rid of the stress marks, but your plastics will lose all of its shine and look just as bad.

Especially an 04 crf. The risk is too high.

yeah, buying a used fourstroke mx bike is scary. Hell, buying any high performance atv/dirtbike is scary (yfz,400ex,450r,raptor,yz250f,yz450f,crf450,etc.) it is indeed very risky, chances are it's been raped.
