Hi All,

Just got a 95 Honda 300ex and it needs front tires. The tire size on it now is:

Front: AT 22x7-10

Rear: AT 22x10-9

I will be riding it on trails, gravel roads, a bit of mud and a bit of sand. Nothing too crazy or radical. What kind and size tires should I put on it and why do you recomend what you do?

Thanks,

Most people prefer a 20" rear for all around riding. Wich would mean you'd want 20" fronts also since the stock shocks aren't really "ride height" adjustable (2" worth anyway).

id go wit holeshots, in the rear than worry about the front later on

I am running 20" knarly's on the rear and 21" carlisle badlands(holeshot copy) up front. The knarly's are awesome for the trails and they hook up well and slide very nicely. I am planning to get some klaw fronts soon. The knarly's hook so well that I get a front end push because the badlands aren't that great. You will get much better acceleration from the 20's also and you only lose a 1/2"-1" of ground clearance over the stock 22's.

imo the razr is the best all around tire. i would go with 20s, gives you better acceleration without alot of top speed loss. more low-end for the sand and mud.
