ok, after my first race, i decided that my rear end (stock) needed to be softer. when i went to turn the pre-load rings, the whole shock turned a little. as soon as i loosened it, i tightened it back up. it did leak a little fluid. not a lot. is this ok, or should i refill it/ get someone to refill it? thanks for any help.

The shock shouldn't just leak oil from turning it. I think you have a problem with the shock. Anyways you're going to have to get the shock rebuilt. You can't just add oil like you do to your car. In order to take care of the problem it will need to be taken apart.

That does seem really wierd. Can you maybe get a picture of where it was leaking at. I'm not understanding what turned and where it leaked.

You should call up the company that made the shock, or revalved it. If it's only one race old and it's leaking it sounds like there was some kind of defect in it.
