shock adjustment?

how much can i adjust my shocks on my 2005 400ex, before i'd notice a difference? i want to compress the front shocks a little but not sure on how much it would take to notice it.

Only you will be able to tell that. That is what suspension is about, knowing how it feels to you and works for you.

Make small adjustments and ride. Decide if it is better or worse and go from there.

i mean are the adjustments real touchy?

Go down a click at a time..or if your talking about spring preload go about 1/2 a turn at a time. It will take some time to get it dialed in right, but once you get it decent, you will feel alot better.
