I am riding a 87 trx250r with +2,+1 Leager with after market shocks. It's a great ride specialy through the woops.... What's the best set up to get the trx450r to come close to it.

New Rear linkage?
+2 a arms?
Long travel?
Anti vib clamp?

Tring to keep it looking like stock but not....

Thanks

you forgot the ricky stator lightened flywheel in your sig lol

youll never get your 450 to ride like your R period:p

best 2 setups IMHO is the laeger swingarm and +3 LT laeger pro trax front end

or

walsh savior swingarm and walsh LT +3 front end

axis shocks on both setups...:macho :scary:

you should have just kept the R and dumped money into it instead??:chinese:

You'll never be able to get the 450 to ride like the 250. Best setup I have seen so far on a 450r is PEP zps shocks all around, with JB +3 LT a arms, and a JB +1 1/4 swinger with the JB long travel linkage. It felt WAYY better than a stock 450r.

I just rode the bike that Hondardr4life is speaking of this past weekend, for the 1st time. Yes, I have riden 250r and a laeger framed CRF450.

The track we rode got as rough as a national track this weekend for some reason. Lots of wooped out sections on the hills, rutts in every tight corner, and tons of breaking bumps.

The 450r with the new JB rear end and long travel a-arms is awsome. As always the PEP shocks are first rate. This set up, in my opinon handles as well as my old Laeger framed t-pin with CR-500 rear link 450r. With this new set up, the bike is approx 2-2 1/2" lower, and it feels like you are sitting in the bike rather than ontop of it (sort of like a 250r). My bike so , ya, I'm bias!

But sometimes dreams come through.. Plus I have only a few more years to run like a nut case... So I need to have the best ride I could have to keep the body going....

Buy a 250R frame and put your 450R's motor in it. :macho
