700 Raptor vs 450r

Just letting every one know that the Raptor isn't quite as fast as many think Friday night my cousin's 450r beat a 700 Raptor repeatedly in a 1/8 dragrace. The 450's 60ft time was like a 1.97 when the raptors was a 2.05. The 450's 1/8 et was a 9.18 and the raptors 9.21. The 450 is bone stone and the raptor was piped.

yes i know this. i had the same results. the craptor i raced was also piped and remapped for it

Was the skill level of the 2 riders evenly matched? Kind of disappointing news for Yamaha if this is true....

hmmmm.......my dads raptor 700 beat a 450r, they were both pipied and filtered.........i think its more rider skill than atv:o

Saw a 06 YFZ450 line up with a 700R this weekend. Both with pipes and filters and the Raptor beat him consistently.

****, I have a 558 Pred with all kinds of goodies and I couldn't get him out of the gate. He'd pull out early and that was it. I couldn't catch him. I was pretty much right on his bumper.

Those 700R ARE quick. Just need a good rider behind them. I am not much of a drag racer either but, in the trails, that 700R gets owned!
