tires for 300ex? ITP? maxxis? shredder?

what tires should i get for my 300ex if i do trail ridin occasional muddin, but dont wanna lose ground clearence, or go slower? actually faster? possible? i was lookin at the xcrs and xcts

the xcrs are 20 an xcts ar 22 i would get xcrs.

I got 20 inch razrs on mine and i love them. They have alot of bite and dont punture easy. i got them in the 6plys.:D

I went with 20 in.Razrs too and changed to a 12 tooth.He is right, they have a good bite to them!

I would go with the razars if i were you. They aare hard to puncture adn with teh holeshots you have to trade of speed and ground clearance. Get the Razars in 22s and you will be fine.

Dont know that it will really give you an over all speed, but I do know that going smaller will climb better with a 12 tooth and smaller tires.I dint notice,do you a have any kind of performance kit on yours?

Well I have Maxxis Razrs on my 99 440 ex and I love them. they are 6 ply all the way around. Any of those tires you have mentioned are all good tires but I think I would go with the razrs or the xcr's. but go with the maxxis.

i would also suggest the 450r stock tires tires...thats what i just put on my 300ex....i love em...there also radial so they dont wear fast at all....

Word! :macho Same here, 20" rears, 21" fronts. Great combo! I'm very pleased with them, and they lower the quad a half inch in the front, and a full inch in the rear, which gives it a lower center of gravity, and better handling. I'd reccomend this setup to anyone, with any quad, especially 300ex owners. I went up a tooth in the front sprocket (stock 13, i went to a 14), and it evens out the smaller tires, and makes the performance very, very close to stock, with a slight increase in top end.

get 20 inch razrs and then just buy a 36 rear sprocket and ull be fine

i dont like the ITP's they have bad wear characteristics...IMO the 20" Razr or 20" Razr2's r the best out there for like occasional muddin and really good on the track! The only bad thing is that the Razrs are like 50 bucks a pop so...i love the Razrs and am thinkin about the 2's. u WILL go faster than those ballons because they have a flater contact patch and will slide much better than stock
