My motor as it sits now, waiting on gaskets/seals....

If gaskets/seals come in, it will be up and running hopefully this week....it should rip arse! Soon to come is valve work (not enough $$$ to do it this time), lightened flywheel, and Toyko Mods ignition.....

The quest for more power continues

Looks good, I just sent my motor off to JH last week. All though mine is an '04 it should fly. I'm getting the CRF ignition, port and polish, CRF carb and 13:1 piston.

You'll love your motor, all of the 04/05 motors JH has been doing are rockets. Best thing is....its reasonably cheap compared to sending your motor to other engine builders. The motor will be right.....trust me!

you look like you have a good handle on the R.

does it look like it is possible to add extra parts on what would be the kicker side, to make a 450ER with kick start?

what'd it cost you and what'd you all get done?? also what was the turnaround time on the work?

From what I've been told and seen, it is possible but Honda doesnt recommend it. It will also be quite costly in parts to convert it over. You also have to think that the carb on the ER doesnt have a place for the hot-start cable as far as I know (could be wrong). So when and if you did convert it to kick, you have no hot start which is quite essential for ease of starting in my experience. Thats all I really know....so take it with a grain of salt.

xsr_racing28c.....as far as costs, you'd be best off to contact JH Racing and discuss that with him. PM me and I can give you the info or just click the link below in my sig to go to the JH Racing website.

All I had done was head porting (intake, exhaust, combustion chamber, etc). No valve work...yet. JH can also do over-sized/titanium valves if you want to go that route also. He can do any piston/cam/porting/carb combo that you want to fit your needs....the guy knows the TRX engine inside and out. He recently did an '06 motor I believe and it hit 57HP on the dyno.

Turn-around time was great, 1 week...I dropped the head off on Friday and got it back the following friday with my piston. Of course, I'm a local rider/customer for him also....
