250x or 300ex cdi modification - remove rev limiter.

does any one know how to remove the rev limiter from the 250x or 300ex cdi boxes. i know it can be done but i just don't know how. i have heard there is a certain spot you drill out but i am not sure. if anyone has had there box modified or knows how to do it let us know. thanks

I had mine done by FST. He drills out the epoxy at a certian spot.. and probably replaces a potentiometer. I couldn't safely tell you what he does, because I'm not really sure. Your best bet is to send it to one of the guys to have them do it for you. The extra 1-2k rpm is very nice.
