Alright heres the deal. I've wanted a 400ex for a very long time, just haven't had the money. So yeah, how much money did your 400ex set you back? I'll be getting a job soon(sooner the better) and I was wondering how good of deals you guys are getting..

I paid $3500 for mine its an 03 and i bought it in 04. Just guessing i would say ive spent around 4k on it. Its about half way done all i have to do is rebuild the motor and and get frame/swinger powdercoated and then its should be done. i dont have any pics right now but very soon.

i bought my 2000 in 02 witha wb rev kit, full big gun race exhuast, maier hand guards, swinger skid plate, and a few other things i cannot remember for $4300. i have since added about 3200 in aftermarket goodies, and ianother 8000 grand or so ina 06 450r for it...

i bought a new 03 in utah for 5200.00, with 500.00 down, but with finacing threw honda, and paying it off early all at once, 5818.69. and man it feels so good not to be tied to a bloody bill every month, unlike my friends, that work their guts out, and have a truck, fourwheeler, insurence, and alcohol bill every month. but the way they do it is NO RENT! my advice, just save up most of it, like half, and finace the other half...

WOW, quads are alot cheaper (including the differance in money) in the states. Mine cost 4100 (canadian) with a couple mods, razr fronts, renthals, carb kit, dg pipe, and some others and i put around 2150 in mods. (not including engine work)

We aren't including the price for oil, oil filter, cost of getting into atv parks, and all of those other things. This is an expensive hobby, but I LOVE it.

I Honistly let anyone drive my quad whenever, because I know there is NO way they can beat on it any harder than I do.

i paid $6,741 for my brand new 2005 400ex 2 monts ago. i think if i only pay the monthly payment for 5 years it will be 7,000 something. i got the quad for 4800 b4 tax, i put 1,000 in acceseries on the loan + the disability insurance and warranty came to $6,741. i love the quad but i going to be paying for it what will seem like 4ever and a day! i got 15% off all acceseries, 75% off a helmet. only aftermarkett stuff i have is ac pro peg knerfs with heel guards, $160 (refurbished) but can't tell. and dynojet kit $48, which i only got a 150 jet in and stock was 148 lol. :eek2:

well the 450r's that are for like $5000 here are 2005s not the 06's. so their a year old but never used. also last summer they were selling bran new yfz450's never used for $5000.

the shop said that if i traded my quad for a 450 i would get $3500 off the 450. and then they said they could probly resell my quad for 5000+ dolars easily according to them.

This is my second 400. Bought my first one in 2003. It was a stock 2000 and I gave 2800 for it. Sold it one month later for 3000. The thing was still practically brand new. I bought this one april 06 for 1500. Its a 2001. It had the bumper and the pipe when I bought it. Roughly 1500 later it looks like this... I do my best to put it away clean, but I ride woods, it gets muddy after almost every ride.

i bought mine like a month ago its a 2000 with renthal bars, +2 a-arms, works triple rate w/ res., plus 4 axle, black c-series wheels, itp holeshot xcr, white bros.r4 pipe, k&n, dg nerfbars w/heel gaurds and a ugly front bumper for an amazing $2000 :D

i got mine in december of 06 for 2050 without the rebuild and hmf exhaust that costed about 1300 together but ill be putting grey plastics, new bumper, pro peg black line nerfs on, razr2's and some hangguards to match that all soon hopefully after i get a job

lol wait i dont understand why you quoted me mines an 01 but it had no problems when i bought it so 2000 for an excellent condition quad was an amazing deal to me thats all i could spend was max 2100 and i had no idea this website existed, i had no trailer, the guy brought it to my house for 20 dollars, it was all going for me

i bough my 02 new in 02 for 6 g's otd. when the ex was the only game in town. i havent put alot of money into it im trying to keep it lookin stock. about 600 in the motor and this thing rips. totall sleeper i even have the stock exhaust (ported header gutted muffler) it still has original tires, never adjusted the chain, only just replaced the rear pads. bars and levers were replaced from crash damge.check my sig.

I know they wore out thats why you changed them. Just theres a thread of us guys having complications changing our brake pads. Well not so much trouble changing them, it's getting them to work after. I bleed every line, I tried even bleeding inside the cylinder of the caliper, I put my finger to the intake hole and started pumpin the pedal. No luck quite yet.

i paid 5000 for mine back in 03 brand new. idk how much i have in it now. but i just sent it out to get the motor done. im goin 11:1. ported and polished. new cam. whole deal. its gonna run me like 600. ill be sellin it in a few months though before i leave for the military. ill be wanting like 3000. ill post pics when its done

and the best thing is no one has ****** rigged, or messed with anything on it... so now i know whats done to it and its done right

That frame looks like it's in good shape, if the guy didnt do touch up's. Thats not my definition of mint condition but for $2000 it's still a darn good buy.

Yes They were wanting 2800 but yea i got it for my other quad.. the big bear 350.. we were selling it for 2800.

My 2004 400ex came all stock except Renthals, K&N, Outerwear. I bought it for $1800 in exc. cond. The frame has not a scratch on it, but the plastics have noticable wear. It was taken care of. The guy rolled it and was afraid to ride it again. Since, I have installed a DynoJet kit to compensate for the K&N and no air box lid. But overall as a chick bike, I have had no problems with it. I have foune it to be a well rounded Wheelie machine!
